Daidō Moriyama is a Japanese street photographer whose images depicting the contrast between traditional values and the new urban life of Japan. In this video, producer Eliza Segell shows how Moriyama captured the darker sides of urban life and the less-seen parts of the city.

Bruce Gilden joined Magnum Photos in 1998 and became a full member in 2002. Since then, he has travelled and held exhibitions world wide. His work has earned numerous awards, including the European Award for Photography, as well as three National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, and a Japan Foundation fellowship.
Gilden currently lives in New York City.
