I’m free from lugging heavy photographic gear around the streets.
This was what I carried with me for the Anime Expo 2012. During the event, the Fujifilm X-Pro 1 and the Fujinon XF 35mm 1:1,4 R performed smoothly on both candid and portrait shots. Four cheap Power2000 NP-W126 and a Fujifilm battery inside the X-Pro 1 gave me enough juice for 1,500 shots. Each of my Samsung 8GB SDHC cards held a little more than 300 RAW files. My old Nikon Speedlight SB-25 seemed to have a good relationship with my X-Pro 1. I’m happy with the feather weight of the load and the quality images.
Goodbye, monster-weighted DSLR gear. You can peacefully rest in my closet now.

it is liberating when you break from the confines of the heavy gear. Also much kinder on the back, neck, shoulders etc. Really like your stFotografer blog. I dont see an option to follow it directly though.

I am working on the Follow button along with other issues on stFOTOgrafer right now. I’ll let you know when it’s fully functional.
